So, what made it such a fun wedding? Well, for example, this couple doesn't take themselves too seriously. No static moments, no strict etiquette rules, and there always needs to be some space for a little joke. Capturing as many entertaining moments as we could was a mission we received from Hébe and Andre.
Oh boy, where to start.... 😂
But a wedding wouldn't be a wedding without some loving moments to share. So, in the morning they prepared vows for each other to read. Here, Andre's soft side emerged and showed the love he has for "his Dutch girl." After the preparations, the time had come for the first look. They were truly in awe of each other and we can’t blame them, because they both looked stunning!
So, time for the wedding shoot! Because we try to make this photoshoot as airy as possible, we give directions like: “look at each other,” “tell something sweet to your fiancé/spouse,” and “walk a little hand in hand.” Well, judging from the second photo below, the direction “tell something sweet in his ear” made them burst out laughing 😂. But that’s exactly what we love about them!
As we photograph together (two wedding photographers), we have the ability to split up when needed. In this case, many guests were staying at a hotel in Den Bosch, close to the wedding venue in Vught. Hébe and Andre arranged a touring car to pick them up, and I (Michael) could drive to Den Bosch to capture that moment while Hiske stayed behind in Vught. Sure, they might not be award-winning images, but capturing moments is what we do and these are fun little moments nonetheless.
Leading the ceremony was Andre’s best man (and bestie). He was a little nervous, but he did great. To tie the bonds, Hébe and Andre prepared four glasses with colored sand, each representing the wedding couple, the best man, and the maid of honor. That’s where things went a little wrong, nerves got the best of him, but after a quick correction from Hébe he remembered his part, and it had everyone laughing out loud 😁
Everyone had such a great time during the wedding reception. And for dinner, everyone could grab a bite from the buffet and sit wherever they wanted. It created exactly the atmosphere this wedding couple had hoped for and had us running around capturing all the lovely little moments 😉. But that’s what we were hired for and we really can’t complain, because it was such a wonderful day.

One of the parts we were looking forward to was the party! In our conversations with Hébe and Andre before the big day, they mentioned the presence of karaoke. Oh yes, please! And so, after some lovely words from Hébe’s friend, it was time for the big show. It’s quite common in Asia to go to a karaoke bar, so the expectations were high 🎶
They didn’t disappoint, and Andre is actually a great singer; his impression of Pumbaa in Hakuna Matata was so much fun! This beautiful day ended for us and it was a day where there was so much to experience. Thank you, dear Hébe and Andre, for putting your trust in us to capture your wonderful wedding here in the Netherlands. 😘
